Scrub

Scrub is a treatment aiming at exfoliating epidermis and in case of more invasive scrubs, reaching dermis.

The choice of concentration and preparation type depends on the kind of complexion and problems cured. Depending on the depth of penetration, scrubs can be divided into: surface, whose main aim is skin tensity improvement, illumination and acne, and deep ones used in case of photoaging, deep wrinkles, post-acne scars and discolourations. In order to achieve optimal effects, in case of non-invasive scrubs, it is recommended to perform a series of them with breaks of 14-28 days.

Indications:

  • small wrinkles
  • large pores
  • post-sun discolourations, uneven skin colour
  • oily skin, lacking in glow
  • acne and post-acne scars

Contraindications:

  • pregnancy and lactation
  • active viral infections (i.e. herpes)
  • skin after epilation
  • in case of deep scrubs- appearance of keloid scars and using oral retinoid (within last 6 months)

The process of treatment:

The treatment involves application of the substance of various chemical composition and various concentrations. Depending on a preparation type, a patient feels more or less intensified skin smartness. Additionally, just after the treatment or a few hours later there may appear slight redness and the feeling of strong skin turgor.

Convalescence time:

After a few days, depending on a preparation used, you can observe delicate or much more intense exfoliation, which limits everyday functioning.

Post treatment indications:

  • use soothing creams
  • avoid sun exposure and solarium for a fortnight
  • use sun protection – a cream with +50 sunscreen for a fortnight
