Barb 4D

First Lift Barb 4D the new unveiling of well-known and already used PDO threads. This time they have been equipped with a specially designed system of microscopic hooks (barbs). Its uniqueness is connected to the fact that until now barbs were located only on one side of the thread, and now they are located densely in two directions, so called four dimensions, and thus the name of the thread. Additionally, the thread used is thicker than a traditional PDO thread what enables an even better lifting effect. Apart from an immediate lifting effect of tissues, after circa 14 days begins the process of stimulating fibroblasts to produce elastin, thanks to which the skin gets a new “scaffold” which results in decrease of tensity and firmness of the skin. Thanks to synergistic action of lifting and stimulation, the effects of the treatment are spectacular and long-lasting. Even after the dissolution of threads (after circa 24 months) the skin treated does not go back to the previous state and the aging process is much slower. The treatment may be repeated if such a need occurs.

Depending on the state of the skin First Lift Barb 4D are recommended from the age of 30.

Contraindications:

  • active form of cancer
  • fever
  • usage of anticoagulant and anti-inflammatory drugs

The process of treatment

After thorough skin disinfecting with the use of a thin needle-cannula or cannula with trocar, threads are placed within skin. Immediately after the treatment through the use of barbs present on the threads, the tissues treated are lifted which results in a strong lifting effect. The treatment does not require cutting so it leaves no scars.

Post treatment indications

In order to have the threads properly implanted and to obtain an optimal effect of the treatment it is necessary to follow post treatment indications:

  • supinating for 3-4 nights
  • touching and cleansing the face in a very delicate way with clean hands only
  • eating comminute food for 3-4 days
  • limiting face mimics (laughing) for 7-14 days
  • limiting wide mouth opening (visits at the dentist) for 7-14 days
  • limiting physical activeness for 14 days; intensive effort is not recommended until at least a month after the treatment

Convalescence time

After the treatment the skin can be oedematous and slight lumpiness (rugosity of skin excess) can appear, but they should disappear within maximum 2 weeks. Additionally, in places where threads where placed, there may appear slight swelling, lividity or haematoma which may be visible for 7-14 days. Patients can suffer from mimic discomfort for a period of 2 weeks.

The effect of the treatment

The effect of lifting the tissues is visible directly after the treatment. Additionally, with the passage of time, the thread undergoes natural absorption in the organism, while at the same time, stimulating collagen synthesis thanks to which the skin becomes firmer.

The persistence of the treatment effect

Depending on individual predispositions of a patient the effect of the treatment can be visible for ca. 2 years and if needed, can be repeated.
