It is a chronic inflammatory dermatosis. It applies more often to men and it has its beginning after the period of adolescence. In etiopathogenesis the participation of pityrosporum ovale is posited. The efflorescence is typically located on the border of hair above a forehead and behind ears and they take a form of generic exfoliation or erythematous focuses covered with plentiful flakes. Additionally, erythematous-desquamative changes can appear on a face, in the middle area of eye brushes, glabella and a nasolabial fold as well as in the suprasternal and interscapular area of the trunk. In case of some patients thinning of hair is observed.
